Let’s Talk Succession Planning: Land Transfer Workshop

May 18 @ 10:00 am1:00 pm

This workshop is being organized by Partners IN Food and Farming (PIFF) and held at Bundle Sticks Farm.

Sunday May 18th 10 am – 1 pm

From PIFF:

What’s the future of your farm?

Planning for farm succession can feel overwhelming—especially if there’s no clear family successor. Join us at Bundle Sticks Farm for an interactive workshop exploring pathways to transition your land, with a focus on non-family transfers and creative succession strategies.

Tailored for small and mid-sized farms, this workshop will cover:

  • Key components of a strong succession plan
  • Alternative land transfer models beyond family succession
  • Communication and conflict management strategies
  • Space and guidance to engage in your own visioning and planning for your future land transfer

During lunch, we’ll hear from Elizabeth and Brian of Bundle Sticks Farm about their land access story, including the process of working with a land trust and hard-earned lessons.

Registration is required and lunch is included!

Note: There is a suggested donation of $10-15. However, if you would like to pay $0 or pay in person via check or cash, please email Eavy at Eavy@indianafarming.org.

This event is a collaboration between Partners in Food and Farming (PIFF), Shirley Heinze Land Trust, and Purdue Extension Succession Planning, and American Farmland Trust.
